Block Parameters

Parameter Field	Values	Comments/Description
SNTP Client Name	Text	A unique name that identifies this SNTP client instance.
Adapter Reference	Alpha-numeric text	Reference to the Name of the Ethernet Adapter Definition block that this protocol will be used to communicate through.
Time Zone	Drop-down list	The offset that will be applied to the UTC time that is returned by a network time server to yield local time.
Response Timeout	Integer (10-2000)	Number of milliseconds that the client will wait for a response from the server before timing out and trying again.
Number of Retries	Integer (1-20)	Number of attempts that the client will retry obtaining the network time before declaring an error.
Allow parameters marked * to be calibrated	Check Box (enable)	Allow mask parameters marked with an asterisk (*) to be runtime tuneable with a calibration tool.
Read access level	0-8	Sets security level 0 lowest, 8 highest, for user access to read value.
Write access level	0-8	Sets security level 0 lowest, 8 highest, for user access to write value.
Instrumentation Group String	Alpha-numeric text	Determines folder name and hierarchy. Use "|" character between folder names to delineate subgroup structure.
