Detect Open Load Diagnostic Configuration

This MotoHawk™ block is used to enable or disable the open load diagnostic on resources whose hardware allows such configuration.

Block ID

Detect Open Load Configuration

Library

MotoHawk_lib/Module Configuration Blocks

Description

This block allows the application to define whether an output drive's open circuit diagnostic should be enabled. The option is only presented when the hardware supports a mechanism to disable the detection within the driver. The resource list will only be populated with the output resources that support such configuration.

The diagnostic might need to be disabled because the load that is to be connected does not meet the requirements of the hardware for reliable detection.

Sometimes the hardware supports the option to separately control whether the hardware attempts to diagnose an open circuit while the drive is asserted versus deasserted. Typically the load requirements and detection method are different in this case. The configuration applied by this block shall only apply to the detection while off (deasserted) condition when this is the case. Use the Open Load While Asserted Configuration block to set the configuration for detection while asserted when it is supported by a resource.

This block's setting shall apply if the condition of the open load detection can be configured and there is no distinction between detection while off (deasserted) and detection while on (asserted).

Block Parameters

Parameter Field Values Comments/Description
Name Alpha-numeric text, single-quote enclosed Name should be unique and C-legal. Therefore it should not include any special characters, such as spaces, dashes, commas (underscore allowed).
Default Condition* Drop down The open load diagnostic condition to be applied. A disabled diagnostic won't trip an open circuit fault.
Resource Drop down Assign the associated module output resource.
Allow attributes marked with a * to be calibrated. Calibration applied at KeyOn Check box (enable) Name, Access Levels and Group Strings fields available.
Read Access Level 0-8 Sets security lever 1 lowest, 8 highest, for user access to read value. A setting of zero indicates unsecured access is allowed.
Write Access Level 0-8 Sets security lever 1 lowest, 8 highest, for user access to write value. A setting of zero indicates unsecured access is allowed.
Group String Alpha-numeric text Determines folder name and hierarchy as displayed. Use "|" character between folder names to delineate subfolder structure.
