Description
Overview
This MotoHawk™ block allows aspects of an MC33810 Spark channel's fault detection to be configured.
Open faults on the MC33810 spark channels are detected by observing whether the nominal current as as defined by the MC33810 DAC Settings block is attained. The channel is considered open if the current threshold is not reached. A fault is flagged when this event has been observed for Fault Threshold consecutive excitations.
Set the Fault Threshold to zero to disable the diagnostic. This would typically be done if the load current is not able to achieve the nominal current setting that has been specified for use.
Block Parameters
Parameter Field | Values | Comments/Description |
---|---|---|
Name | Alpha-numeric text, single-quote enclosed | This name will be used by associated Get MC33810 Spark Duration accessor block or MC33810 Spark Duration Trigger block to reference this definition. The name must be C-legal. Therefore is must have no special characters such as spaces, dashes or commas (underscore allowed). It should also be unique. |
Resource | Drop-down list | Module resource for this block (target module dependent). |
Fault Threshold | Unsigned integer | Defines the number of consecutive fault events that need to be observed before a fault will be flagged. Set to zero to disable the fault. |
