Description

This MotoHawk™ block is part of the Logging Blockset and allows an event to be added to the referenced Event Log.
Input Ports
EventID (uint8)
The EventID to be logged. This is an application specific value that can be used to categorize the event.
EventCODE (uint8)
The EventCODE to be logged. This is an application specific value that can be used to sub-categorize the event.
EventTime (uint32)
This value should be a representative of time when the event was observed. For example the EventTime attribute from the Module Data Get block (if supported) could be used to provide this value.
Data[N] (uint8)
An optional array of data. The instance of Event Add defines whether data is to be logged, but the capability of the log to record data is defined by the referenced Event Log.
Output Ports
Status (uint8)
A staus of [1](Log - OK) indicates that the event was added.
A status of two or more indicates that the event was not added because of an error. The value indicates the type of error.
A common error would be [6]](Log - Q Overflow), which results when an attempt is made to add an event while the add event queue is already full. It takes a finite amount of time to write an event to the log and events remain in a queue until the write has completed. The queue length is finite (typically shown and/or defined by the referenced Event Log).
Block Parameters
| Parameter Field | Values | Comments/Description |
|---|---|---|
| Reference Event Log Name | Single quote enclosed c-legal alpha-numeric text |
The name of the Event Log that thi event is to be added to. |
| Num Data Bytes | unsigned integer (0..65535) |
A non-zero value will define the width of the Data port. The port will not be visible when a value of zero is assigned. Specifiying a value that exceeds the capability of the referenced Event Log will result in Simulink error. |
