An extended data record is an extension of the fault data that is present per fault (such as fault states) that can be queried by Service 0x19 subfunction 6. This block maps a custom field to an extended data record number.

The record number parameter must be unique and must be within the range of 0-254 (0xFE). 0xFF is a reserved value in the UDS specification.

Parameter Field Values Comments/Description
Name String Unique name for this Extended Data Record.
Extended Data Record Number Numeric (0 to 254) Number assigned to this record number. This number is important for the protocol. Consult the 14229 document regarding Service 0x19 subfunction 6 for more details.
Custom Field Data Expression Character string that has the name of an existing Custom Field in the OBD Fault Manager.
