Licensing Frequently Asked Questions

1. I have a MotoTune only dongle, and I would like to add a MotoHawk license to it. Is this possible? Yes, provided the dongle is 64k, not 4k. You would need to contact your account manager or Channel partner for a quote. Then License Update can be used to add the license by a simple email transaction.

2. Is the same for adding MotoTune to a MotoHawk dongle? Yes, the above applies - all Motohawk dongles are already 64k and can hold a MotoTune license. You'll still need to order the license though.

3. I have a dongle that is intermittantly not recognized, what causes this? The most common cause is USB3.0 port. There is a known issue with the dongle and USB 3.0 ports. According to Marx Crypto this is actually an issue with the Windows 7 USB3.0 driver, however Marx Crypto will be pro-actively releasing a new dongle driver to fix this issue. They estimate it will be available in 4-5 weeks. You would be able to download it from Marx Crypto, and we will integrate it into our installers in a future release as well.
