The page refers to the so-called ISDL module, or the Event Data Recorder, now numbered GCM-0565-024-0602-F (also refer to the Data Sheet).
Here are some FAQs:
Q. What is the default city id?
11 (0x0B)
Q. How do I boot the module?
The ISDL requires a boot cable which supplies/provides:
- Module Ground (Pin 14; labeled SGND on datasheet)
- Module Battery (Pin 16; labeled BATT on datasheet)
- Keyswitch (Pin 13; labeled KEY_SW on datasheet)
And connects transducer power (Pin 18; labeled XDRP on datasheet) to all 6 analog inputs (Pins 2, 3, 4, 5, 12 and 15; labeled AN1 thru AN6 on datasheet)
For the boot process, refer to Reprogramming Using Boot Key.
Q. Are there PROD and DEV versions?
No, the ISDL only comes as a PROD module; however it supports NV calibration (i.e. calibration blocks with a behavior type of ‘Calibration NV’.)
Q. Are the MotoTune Handler Blocks supported?
Yes
