CAN data-logging is the real-time capture and storage of CAN Frames for post-capture analysis.

ControlCoreServer can function as a CAN data logger. There is a record button on the 'Logging' tab that allows you to begin logging.

When you press this button you are asked for a filename and location for storage of the log file. After this selection, logging will commence, saving frames from all configured buses. Both incoming and outgoing frames will be logged. CAN Frames will be saved in the canTEXT format. Logging stops when you press the stop-sign-looking 'Stop' button.

At this point you are told how many frames were logged and where the log file was stored.

ControlCoreServer can also function as a CAN Frame Playback utility for your (or others') captured logs.
